CLOCKWORK.

She started,
She kept on, and on.
Till she could not do it no more.
Till it was the end of her.

As a tailor, a professional she was.
She loved a perfectly made knot.
It soothed her soul each and every time.
And good friends they were, she and him.

Time was always known to be a trickster for many.
But he liked her strangely.
And so did her.
She never blamed him for how he was.
He liked that about her.

Once he asked,
What if I ever hurt you?
She answered,
Then you would have hurt me.
Then what? He continued.
So what? She said.
